Liburan di Pantai

Last Saturday, my family and I woke up early. It was still dark. Ayam pun belum bangun. We got in the car and brought snacks, water, and minyak kayu putih.

"I want to sit next to the window!" I said. But my little brother was already there. Aku hanya bisa pasrah.

We hit the road at 5:30 in the morning. It was so early that even Google Maps looked ngantuk. My dad made a wrong turn and we saw a big kebun pisang.

"Wrong way," Mom said, shaking her head. But we just laughed.

When we finally got to the beach, the sun was coming up. The sand was soft like bubur ketan putih. I took off my shoes and ran to the water. It was cold, like mandi jam lima pagi.

We played in the sand and took a lot of pictures. My mom said, “Smile! Lagi!” many times. We looked like patung pancasila in the photos.

Then I had lunch with my cousin under a pohon kelapa. We ate nasi goreng in daun pisang. It was delicious because I was kelaparan berat.

Suddenly, a big wave washed away my hat. I tried to get it, like orang gila, but the ocean took it.

At 3 o’clock, we packed our things and headed back home. I was very tired. I slept like batu in the car.

It was a funny day. I want to go again. But next time, I will hold on to my hat.
